More About Josie

Hi, I’m Josie- a singing teacher and musical theatre performer based in Sydney. I have been teaching voice students since 2020 and am dedicated to creating a safe and encouraging space for my students to discover their voices. I enjoy building connections with my students and with our weekly lessons, it’s a joy to watch them grow, not only as vocalists, but as people.

I studied my Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Elder Conservatorium of Music (ECMT) and my Diploma of Music Theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Post graduating I have continued to teach, as well as working professionally both as a performer and in company management.

I love working with singers from early teens through adults, helping my students find their voice and build their confidence. As someone who used to be a ‘dancer-first’ I also love working with dancers who are developing their singing. I find I am able to communicate in a way that connects voice to their knowledge of their body/dance, in a way that really resonates.
